Really disagree on the points. Archeology doesn’t matter past the first few weeks of the xpac . It’s not like these archeology weapons are end game BIS or even bis till firelands lol. Also buffing the underperforming specs is a big confusion. Idk why people don’t realize the biggest issue with Classic is YOU KNOW THE META lol. It will never change . Also find it funny you say it’s okay if pally doesn’t get buffed cuz they were good last xpac ? So let’s make sure we don’t buff Feral at all cuz they were good last xpac right ?

What are you talking about with enhance dude? I generally agree with you and enjoy your content but you’re out of your fucking mind. They are top 6 across all heroic logs on average 95th percentile and up for overall damage and top 3 for boss damage. My toons name is Nightstorm. I have 4 100 parses already and the rest high orange or 99s. I’m constantly top dps nearly every single fight. Enhance is just fine. Would I take some buffs such as allowing fire elemental to apply the same debuff as searing totem so we can actually use our big CD fire elemental, of course. But to say it’s down in the dumps is fucking ridiculous.

Chaos orbs being tradable would be a terrible move. You have multiple people running heroics together so one person can roll without competition. This would cause a rolling issue when pre mades join a solo player. You could have a 4v1 rolling situation. Not something anybody would want.

Valour cap is a joke tbf, I got an a extra weeks cap compared to the rest of my guild as i did heroics in the 3 day window before first reset, other players should be able to catch up on that missed valour too its dumb asf and actively discourages casual players.

I played feral on OG cata and it was insane, cat mainspec, offtank and dual spec healer, I was literally top dps of my guild and top healer (to be fair, sniping for abusing the meters haha). How is it bad? Still remember Firecat, stacked so much dkp for it back in the day just to make sure I got it first, it was insane

Worgen lvl 10 quests so broken too, they keep glitching and we were so stuck. Had to do the same scripted bullshit battle in gilneas multiple times. Npc not reacting, riding horribly glitchy. I say they should fix the START of the game first cuz its pathetic

Balance and fairness are the two major themes, both required in order for competition to exist. When either is broken players leave (SOD is a case study). Maelstrom Crystals, Less Loot, etc benefits P2W community and larger guilds that have the ability to split toons into Gbid and fund Bis. It was already an issue in the past but it’s gonna snowball in Cata w/ shorter phases and will impact every measurable goal oriented playstyle prog, speed, parse, individual rankings, etc. Top groups are going into prog with better enchants and gear than other groups and it’s gated by $$$, like fuck dawg gg. Archeology shouldn’t be changed it should be removed. Tying bis loot to a digging profession is moronic. Another major issue with Cata (and this one isn’t Cata’s fault) is the negative social dynamic associated with player consolidation over time. Imo the Classic team should review in future how long any given server will last. To have servers from 2019 running still is a mistake. Consolidation is a social dynamic that takes place in any game/community. A lot of good players quit Classic Wow because they they were competitively restricted but are able to achieve high MMR in other games. All good points - miss you big dawg

1. Go play Retail, all these exist there 2. If you think implementing some of these features is as easy as spending 2-3 days, you are very wrong. Also, some of them come with latter expansions, so you wanting them to be available currently, is kinda bold of you, don't you think?

I fundamentally disagree that every single spec needs to be represented in raid. You actually literally can't even do that in a 25 man raid. I mostly agree with the other points, but this one was really bad. I also think the Chaos Orb tradeable point is INSANE. One of my favorite things about Cata is having a personal reward for finishing a dungeon. If Chaos Orbs were tradeable then they'd just be worth nothing. As it stands, you actually can turn them into reasonable g if you do the dungeon and have just 1 (ONE) profession that uses them. You want to run 2 minmax professions that neither use Chaos Orbs? Your choice.

The argument of "this is how original cata was" should be a non issue since they have tokens and character boosts.

was fully expecting to play cata but season 4 of d4 got me. and im glad it did. the entire gameplay loop of having to too boring grindy stuff for 2 days played to raid...its 2024.

Agree with a little extra loot to make up for the increased content cadence. It feels like the devs are out of touch with the community in a lot of areas. Absolutely agree that Valor catch-up should be a thing so people who take a break for whatever reason aren't killing their normal gear progression.

I agree with most, but classic was suppose to be 'how it was back in the day'. I like some QoL changes, but adding in things like the pally glyph makes the game no longer classic. Chaos orbs boe, sure. Aoe looting, yes plz. Buffing classes and changing professions, sorry but its a hard pass

I dont think Blizzard will do to much with Cata Classic. All of this stuff outside of war within retail is just fluff to them, to keep people occupied for now until the next thing.

I agree with the valor point increase. Most everybody was maxed out on valor after a day of random heroics. After that, it’s basically farming Jp for preraid vendor items or grinding out faction reputations that need exalted.

Yeah. I'm really baffled they are just praying people will enjoy cata as is. No one cares about Cata. They can literally remake the entire expansion and no one will care. Everything surrounding cata is so weird. Basically the community and the developers don't know what to think about it. Everyone is kind of confused why it even exists lol

There's no reason not to add quality of life changes to the game, in 5 years of classic since 2019 I haven't seen anyone complain about "this isn't like the original version". I had a hunter alt during WOTLK and the trap launcher they introduced was a massive win for the class. I don't really know what their criteria is to make or not to make changes but if they already know many of the problems before hand, I don't see why they can't fix them before it is too late.

Wanting the game to being more retail isnt always the best thing.

When they said they were going to make some changes I was expecting something like Personal or aoe loot. Instead we got every bug. I pay fire mage, and I'm glad they fixed ignite munching, but I don't think my old mage tricks work anymore.

Love the video but cannot possibly disagree more with the takes in this video. The economy problems with maelstrom crystals are clearly driven by the gdkp market, AND the biggest factor outside of that is no epics dropping from heroic dungeons like in wrath. Way more expensive just to possess purple items for DE in cata and prices will drop once the raid opens. YOU DONT NEED PRE BIS to raid. Unbreak your mind. I think this was a D tier take. Happy to explain more.

Many years ago when classic was a private server, Blizzard said, you think you want classic but you don't. I told all my friends, no one actually wants classic, they want classic plus, a rerelease where dev efforts would be spent chasing user demands to build a different game than what was originally provided years ago with the original being the starting point. This video proves my point.
